Software Development
JAI has the capabilities to develop software applications to include the following:
- Database applications (Microsoft Access, Oracle RDBMS) -- our database experience includes dealing with spent nuclear fuel characteristics databases. Additionally we have programmers who have experience writing database applications using Oracle on either a Microsoft NT platform or various flavors of unix (HP-UX, Sun Solaris, Linux).
- Advanced spreadsheet applications (using Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic front ends) to accompany studies.
- Applications that work with secure systems. Our programmers have experience developing "trusted guard" applications to be used with secure operating systems such as DigitalNet XTS-300, or Trusted Solaris. These applications allow information to be shared between different security levels (such as NIPRNET to SIPRNET) without compromising security.
- XML applications. Our programmers have experience using XML (Extensible Markup Language) in client server applications requiring XML schema validation of XML steams (sent via TCP/IP) between various systems.
JAI also has experience in software lifecycle development activities to include the following:
- Requirements Analysis
- Use Case Analysis
- Object Oriented Design using Rational Rose tools
- Software Development
- Software Testing.
JAI Personnel also have experience with the DITSCAP (DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process) Process of certifying secure systems for Department of Defense networks. Experience includes the following:
- Preparation of Secure Systems Authorizing Agreements (SSAA) as part of the DITSCAP process.
- Preparation of System Testing and Evaluation (ST&E) documentation as part of the DITSCAP process.
- Preparation of Security Concept of Operations (CONOPs) documents as part of the DITSCAP process.
- Preparation of Common Criteria Documentation for the Certification of Secure Systems.
