JAI and its staff have had extensive experience in the design and engineering, operation, and management of commercial and government activities involved in all phases of the nuclear fuel cycle, including mining and milling of uranium and thorium ores, conversion of uranium concentrates to UF6, fuel fabrication (for light water reactors, gas-cooled reactors, breeder reactors, Naval and Maritime propulsion reactors, and test reactors), unirradiated scrap recovery and utilization, irradiation processing, spent fuel storage and reprocessing, and radioactive waste management. Both the firm and its staff are experienced in processes involved with thorium, all enrichments of uranium, U-233, and plutonium.
